Tomcat Servelet/Service – TOMCAT6.EXE

Tomcat is the servlet container that is used in the official Reference Implementation for the Java Servlet and JavaServer Pages technologies. The Java Servlet and JavaServer Pages specifications are developed by Sun under the Java Community Process. Tomcat.exe installs tomcat as a service on Win32 based systems. Tomcatw.exe does the same thing but uses a GUI environment. More information is available at http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/. This file may appear on your system if you're running an Apache based web server or if you're running a Java Servlet. If you want to try removing this file, please do so via WinPatrol. That way if you experience a loss of functionality in your web connectivity, development platform, or other programs; you can easily re-enable it.
