TP General – TPONSCR.EXE, TPONSCR.DLL

Tponscr.exe and tponscr.dll install on IBM's Thinkpad notebook computers. They are part of TP General, IBM's onscreen display utility. When you hit one of your Thinkpad function keys, this program shows you the result onscreen. The program also provides some enhancements of ThinkPad function keys. If you don't need this onscreen display and if you don't use the function keys, this file can be removed. We'd recommend doing so using WinPatrol. Simply disable it under you 'Startup Programs'. That way if you lose some functionality that you need, it can be easily re-enabled.
