Panda Antivirus – WEBPROXY.EXE

Webopedia defines a web proxy as " A server that sits between a client application, such as a Web browser, and a real server. It intercepts all requests to the real server to see if it can fulfill the requests itself. If not, it forwards the request to the real server."

As you might guess, a number of Internet or Browser related programs could be using this as a file name. Most commonly, a file called webproxy.exe installs with Titanium Antivirus by Panda Software. You'll probably find it in your c:\Program Files\Panda Software\Panda Titanium Antivirus 2004 folder. We'd recommend leaving this file in place.

An antivirus program ca only protect you from viruses it knows about. So we'd recommend configuring your virus scanner to check for virus signature updates automatically.
