Xerox Scanner Driver – XRXFTPLT.EXE

Xrxftplt.exe will appear in your c:\Program Files\Xerox\NWWia\ folder. You may see it described as XeroxScannerDaemon. It installs with your Xerox scanner model fu621d. The wia in the name of the folder named nwwia stands for "Windows Image Acquisition". Unless this file is causing your problems, we'd recommend leaving it in place.

Windows XP may look in this folder during boot up. So if you try to remove files or the entire folder you could get an error stating that it's in use. So if you do opt to remove it, your best bet is to do so using WinPatrol.

You'll find the latest drivers for your scanner at http://www.support.xerox.com/go/prodselect.asp?Xlang=en_US&metrics;=HDR. Simply select your product type, model, and operating system.
