Adware Alert – YONTOOIECLIENT.DLL

Files called yontooieclient.dll, 07726976.DLL, 53943253.DLL, and YontooTix2700750.log install with the Yontoo Layers Client for Internet Explorer from Yontoo Technology, Inc. The author describes it as follows: "Yontoo Layers is a browser add-on that customizes the underlying website. It works on any site on the Web, although the functionality comes from separate applications called Layers Apps which provide specific functionalities depending on what site you are on." This program lets you add decorations and themes to web pages. But it also injects JavaScrpt based ads into pages you view via your Internet Explorer browser. We'd recommend removing these files using WinPatrol. First, kill them under Active Tasks then remove them from your Startup Programs and IE Helpers. If using a recent version of WinPatrol, you can right click each file select 'delete file on reboot'. Finally, reboot your system.
