SBC Yahoo Online Protection – YOP.EXE

Yop.exe installs as part of the SBC Yahoo Online Protection Suite. This suite includes an antispyware program, an antivirus program, a popup blocker, parental controls, SBC Yahoo mail protection and an EZ Antivirus updater. If this file isn't causing your problems, we'd recommend leaving it in place. Users report that yop.exe attempts to connect to the web very frequently. This can be annoying while viewing streaming audio or video. If you're having problems with it, yop.exe can be disabled via WinPatol in your Startup Programs. Users tell us that this can be done without taking down your Antivirus protection but that the other components of Yahoo Online Protection won't work until re-enabled.
