Adware Alert - CNSMIN.DLL

Assist.dll is a browser helper oject installs with a variant of the CnsMin adware program. This program hijacks address bar searches. Normal search results are replaced by results from CnsMin's controlling server. Often these search results will be in Chinese. You'll find this program in c:\program files\3721\assist\assist.dll or c:\download\3721\assist\assist.dll. The program folder can vary but there will always be a sub-folder called 3721.

Under Control Panel > Add/Remove programs, there is an entry for "Chinese Characters" but that doesn't fully remove the program. We'd recommend using WinPatrol to remove assist.dll and cnsmin.dll if present on your system. Manual removal instructions can be found at http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/CnsMin.html.
