Multiple Programs - BLANK

You appear to have a file on your system that is simply called "blank". It is difficult to determine exactly what installed it. But it is very unlikely that a file with such a name would be required. Look up the file in WinPatrol then click the "Info" button. If there's no company or copyright info, we'd recommend removal.

Having a file called "blank" on your system may mean that you have a CoolWebSearch variant. CoolWebSearch hijacks your browser's home and search pages either to it's controlling server or to about:blank. If you upen your browser and get a blank page with the words "about:blank" in the URL/Address line, this is what has happened.

We would recommend removing this file using WinPatrol. First, kill it in your Active Task list. Next, remove it from your IE Helpers. If all of the CWS related files aren't removed at once, they may reappear due to settings in your Windows Registry. So be on the lookout for any 6 or 8 character filenames that have no description and seem to be made of a random gathering of letters and numbers.
