Developer’s Splash Screens - DSSAGENT

DSSAGENT is a tool that allows developers to send you text and graphical "splash screens" notifying you of program updates. This installs with a number of 3rd party programs including but not limited to Broderbund.

This article from the Microsoft Knowledgebase covers common error messages and tells you how to safely remove DSSAGENT from your startup files.

Because DSSAGENT is technically spyware, we do recommend removal. Doing so, however, may cause programs that installed it to stop working. You may wish to disable it first, check to see that all your programs are still working, and then remove it.
