Earthlink Scam Blocker – ESCAMBLK.DLL

Escamblk.dll installs as part of the Earthlink Toolbar. You'll generally find this file in your c:\Program Files\EarthLink Toolbar\ folder. It is required to support the Earthlink ScamBlocker function. Some scammers create websites that look exactly like the real thing hoping to get you to enter personal information such as passwords or credit card numbers. ScamBlocker can help you detect these sites. It displays a visual safety rating for each Web page you visit. It also alerts you before you enter a page that's on their list of known scammers or has characteristics commonly associated with fraudulent Web sites. This feature can be turned on or off using a toggle button on the Earthlink Toolbar. If you find you want to get rid of the toolbar entirely, the best bet is to go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove it there.
