Adware Alert – EWWIE.DLL

Files called ewwie.dll and dslifestyle.exe install with the Drop Spam Toolbar by Evolution World Wide Limited. This toolbar claims to protect your e-mail from spam. This toolbar pops up a message telling you that you need to update your Microsoft Outlook. Some users report that whether you click yes or no, the program stealth installs.

Uninstall instructions can be found at http://my.dropspam.com/faq/faq.pl?rel=95118. If that doesn't work, we'd recommend removing the files using WinPatrol. First, kill them under Active Tasks then remove them from your startup programs. If running WinPatrol 8.x or later, right click each file then select "Delete file on Reboot". Finally, reboot your system.
