CD Writers - GEARSEC
Gearsec.exe and Gearasip.dll belong to Gear Software's recording engine. It is used when burning CDs or DVDs. Many different programs install these files. It installs with Apple's Quicktime and iTunes software. It installs with many CD Software writers including Audiable.com's CD Writer plugin. It also installs with Midi sequencers such as Cakewalk. It is also used by a backup program called Drive Image formerly by PowerQuest, now available via Symantec.
