Adware HotBar Installer - HOTBAR.EXE

Hotbar.exe installs with an adware program called "HotBar". This adds the hotbar toolbar and changeable skins to Microsoft Internet Explorer. Hotbar hijacks web searches and transmits information on your web browsing habits to its controlling server.

Hotbar may install alone or with other adware programs such as WeatherOnTray or SpamBlocker for Outlook Express.

We'd recommend using WinPatrol to remove hotbar. First, go to your Active Tasks tab and kill any of these programs that appear there: sbinst.exe, hbinst.exe, hbsrv.exe, hbinstie.dll, hotbar.exe, hbcoresrv.dll, hbtoolbar.dll, hbhostoe.dll, hbhostol.dll, and hbhostie.dll. Next, remove these files from your Startup Programs and IE Helpers.
