Multiple Programs – MESSENGER
As you might guess, we found a number of programs using a toolbar extension called "Messenger". In general, these add an icon to your browser toolbar that, when clicked, takes you directly to the Instant Messenger and Buddy List control panel. This icon may not be visible but is available as a quick link. To include or hide the icon, right-click on the Internet Explorer toolbar and choose Customize.
If you frequently switch from your browser to your Messenger window, this icon may come in handy. If not, it can be safely removed. You'll find it in WinPatrol's "IE Helpers" tab.
