OmniPage OCR - OPAGENT.EXEOp

Opagent.exe is the OmniPage Agent. This file is part of the OmniPage OCR program that installs with many scanners. When you scan a page of text, your computer only understands it as a picture. An Optical Character Recognition (OCR) program is needed to convert the shapes into actual text letters.

Part of OCR-Aware, this program adds an "Aquire" menu option to most popular Word Processing programs (Word, Office, WordPerfect, etc). Using this option, you can scan and OCR convert a page of text directly into your word process.

This file can be removed if you don’t want to scan text directly into your word processor. It’s best to turn this off within the OmniPage program. You’ll find the "OCR Aware" tab listed under Tools > Options. Click here for more information.
