Multiple Programs – OPTIMIZE.EXE

We found multiple instances of OPTIMIZE.EXE.
Most commonly, OPTIMIZE.EXE was installed with a program called Software Carousel or Super Software Carousel. This program started out as a utility to optimize DOS memory and to automate switching between programs. These days, it may have installed with the software used to sync your Palmtop with your PC.

OPTIMIZE.EXE is a common term used for any utility to 'optimize' code in a programming language such as VB, C++, VC and the .Net family of programs.

OPTIMIZE may a disk optimizer for MS Dos 5 and later by Soft Logic Solutions.

OPTIMIZE may be a Quarterdeck memory optimizer for QEMM, a DOS memory optimizer. Quarterdeck was acquired by Symantec and this product has been discontinued. There may be other programs with the same name. We'd recommend against removing the file if you can't determine the program it belongs to.
