HP Printer Utility – SETCONFIG.EXE

Most commonly, setconfig.exe is a configuration utility that comes in HP LaserJet printers including the CLJ2500 and LaserJet 1010, 1150, and 1300 Series.

Some users report that this file causes error messages when booting up under Windows XP. If you opt to try removing it, please do so using WinPatrol. Go to your Startup Programs and disable the file. Reboot and then test your printer functionality. If problems develop, simply go back to your Startup Programs and re-enable the file.
