ScanSoft Updates – SSBKGUPDATE.EXE

We beleive that ssbkgupdate.exe is the ScanSoft's background update service. ScanSoft has partnered with InstallShield to deliver automated updates and patches for OmniPage, ViaVoice, Dragon Naturally Speaking and other popular programs over the web. If you don't wait automated updates, you can remove this file with WinPatrol or you can go into your ScanSoft program and disable the auto-update feature. This file may also appear as ssbjgupdate.exe -embedding -boot.
