Adware Alert – ZANUHOOK.DLL

Files called zanuhook.dll, zanu.exe, zangohook.dll, ZangoInstaller.exe, and ZangoTVTimes.exe install with the ZangoSearch Assistant variant of the n-case adware program by 180solutions. This program tracks keywords or URLs you type then sends targeted popup ads. This file may install on its own or with other programs such as online games or P2P file sharing services. Often when this program is removed, those services are no longer available.

We'd recommend removing these files using WinPatrol. First, kill them in your Active Tasks. You'll also want to kill any .dll files that start with 180solutions or just 180. Next, remove these files from your Startup Programs and IE Helpers. If running WinPatrol 8.x or later, right click each file then select "Delete file on reboot".
