Adware Alert – SEARCHRELEVANCY.DLL

Searchrelevancy.dll installs with the Search Relevancy adware program by the Intercosmos Media Group. You'll find this file in your c:\Progarm Files\Searchrelevancy folder. This program sets itself up to run on system startup. It displays popup ads and may try to redirect web searches to "relevant" links via its controlling server.

We'd recommend removing this file. Users report that uninstalling it via Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs doesn't really get rid of it. So please go to your Active Tasks tab and kill the file there. If files called searchrelevancy1.dll or search~1.dll appear there, kill those as well. Next, remove these files from your IE Helpers. If you're running WinPatrol 8.x or later, right click the file then select "Delete file on Reboot". Finally, reboot your system.
