Logitech BackWeb Content – LOGITECHDESKTOPMESSENGER.EXE

Logitechdesktopmessenger.exe installs with the Logitech Desktop Messenger. Logitech describes this file as follows: "Logitech® Desktop Messenger (LDM) is a free service designed to deliver software support, news and information you can use.". This program is really based upon a file called backweb-8876480.exe. Backweb is known for using system resources and in some cases for allocating all available memory to itself causing your system to grind to a crawl. If your experiencing these problems, or if you don't want the Logitech info, we'd recommend removing this program. First, go to your Active Tasks and kill the file there. Next, go to your Startup Programs and remove the file there. Alternatively, you may be able to uninstall it via Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
