Maagent.exe installs with ContentSAFER by MarkAny. ContentSAFER promises a much stronger degree of security in copyright protection, because of dual modes of protection in a single system: encryption and watermarks. Encryption with access control information is a core part of DRM (digital rights management), preventing illegal copy and distribution of the content in a network environment. Watermark technology embeds copyright information or purchaser's ID into digital content to demonstrate that distributed contents belong to claimed copyright owner or that the illegally distributed content was purchased by the ID owner.
