MusicMatch Jukebox – MIMBOOT.EXE
Files called mim.exe and mimboot.exe install with MusicMatch Jukebox version 10. Mimboot.exe sets itself to run on system startup. Its primary task is to load mom.exe. Mim.exe watches all of the music on your computer that is also in your jukebox library, as well as any folders added to the 'WatchFolders'. When music on your system is moved, renamed, or deleted, it gets updated in the jukebox library. The next time that you launch the program, your music will be up-to-date.
Users have report that they can't run MusicMatch Jukebox after removing these files so we'd urge caution. If you'd like to try getting rid of them, please go to your Startup Programs and select "disable" rather than "remove". That way they can be easily re-enabled if problems arise.
We've also seen users report that when these programs are loaded, a small white dot appears in the lower left corner of their screen. At the time of this writing, this was an open issue with MusicMatch. So please check their support site at http://www.musicmatch.com/form/support/ for additional information.
