Audio ASIO Support – RUNDLL32 P17.DLL,P17HELPER

P17.dll (which may show up as Rundll32 P17.dll,P17Helper) installs with the drivers for your SoundBlaster Audigy or Audigy 2 sound card. This file is needed to the support Audio Stream in/out (ASIO) capabilities of your sound card. This provides a more direct path between the sound card and CPU and can help to avoid latency problems. If you're not into games and/or multimedia, you can probably get by without this file. To remove unnecessary features, your best bet in this case is to go into your sound card configuration utility.
