SiteAdvisor – SITEADV.EXE

Siteadv.exe is the executable for SiteAdvisor, a website safety rating utility. SiteAdvisor's safety button changes color to let you know if the site is safe (green), caution (yellow - a site tries to change browser default or sends you email), or unsafe (red - a site is known to spam or install adware or spyware). SiteAdvisor is owned by Network Solutions, the same company responsible for the McAfee Antivirus/AntiAdware/AntiSpam/Firewall programs. More information can be found at http://www.siteadvisor.com/download/ie_learnmore.html. You'll find support via the McAfee website at http://www.mcafeehelp.com/selectSupportType.asp?siteId=1&cnrcheck;=done.

If you want this rating system to work as you browse the web, leave this file in place. If you have an "always on" internet connection, it will make sense to simply let it run on system startup. If you don't want this program running all the time but still want to be able to check out a website now and then, you can do so on the website at http://www.siteadvisor.com/analysis/. Just type or paste in the URL of the website you want checked. You can view and post reviews of websites at http://www.siteadvisor.com/analysis/reviewercentral/.
