Multiple Programs – SWITCHER.EXE

As you might guess, we found multiple programs using a file called switcher.exe. In most cases, these involved switching between two or more options having to do with multimedia, operating environments, handheld devices or video settings.

Most commonly, switcher.exe is the executable for the Sony Wireless Switch Setting Utility, a wireless configuration tool that can be useful in accessing viao media over a home network. You'll find this file in c:\Program Files\Sony\Wireless Switch Setting Utility\Switcher.exe. More info can be found at http://www.vaio.net/sonyvaio535.html.

Switcher.exe installs with the Pebbles Switcher for Windows CE and Pocket PC. More info can be found at http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/~pebbles/v5/switcher/windowsce/.

Because this is a common term, it's likely that other instances of switcher.exe exist.
