Application Compatibility Client Library – APPHELP.DLL

APPHELP.DLL is the Microsoft Application Compatibility Client Library. It installs with Windows Server 2003 Data Center, Enterprise, Standard and Web Editions (version 5.2.3790.0); with Windows XP Home 2002, Windows XP Professional 2002 (version 5.1.2600.0); and Windows XPSP1 (Version 5.1.2600.1106). If you run Windows XP, you'll most likely find this file in your Windows\System32 folder.

APPHELP.DLL and SHLWAPI.DLL are files required by Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 and 6.0SP1 so the more common missing file errors may be generated by MSIE. We'd recommend leaving this file in place.
