ThinkPad Power Management – BMMLREF.EXE

Bmmlref.exe and Bmmtask.exe come installed on may IBM ThinkPad notebook computers including the 570, 600, 770, A20, A30, R32, R40, T20/30/40, X20/30, G40, Transnote and I-Series. Generally it is found in c:\program files\thinkpad\utilities. It is the "Battery Maximizer" and power management program. It can be used to configure power management and it displays a gauge giving you information on battery life.

Battery Maximizer is very handy for notebook users. But if you want to get rid of it, the best way is to go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and select "Battery MaxiMiser".
