Dynamic DNS Updater – DYNDNS.EXE

DNS is short for "domain name system". This system associates names such as "www.billp.com" to what would otherwise be a string of numbers called an IP address. Dynamic IP addresses can change on the fly whereas static IP addresses remain unchanged. Dyndns.exe is a utility used to update dynamic DNS IP addresses. DynDNS is used as a client for dynamic DNS service providers such as http://www.dyndns.org. The file will appear in your c:\Program Files\DynDNS Updater\ folder. A file called dyndns.ini will be in the same folder and is used to store configuration information.
