Indigo – SMSVCHOST.EXE

Smsvchost.exe (formerly Indigolistener.exe) installs the Indigo Named Pipe Sharing Service on systems running Windows Vista. It installs as part of Microsoft's .NET Framework version 2.0 or later. Indigo is described as providing "rich support for service-oriented design that is complementary to traditional object-oriented approaches. Indigo marries the best features of .NET Remoting, ASMX, and .NET Enterprise Services into a unified programming and administration model".
