Multiple Programs – AGENT.EXE

Agent.exe installs with the InstallShield Update Service. This instance of hte file will be found in your c:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\UpdateService folder. InstallShield is commonly used to install and setup software programs that you purchase or download. Their update service will check to see if there are updates available for your drivers or installed software. If you want the program to do this for you, leave this file in place. Agent.exe also installs with Cyberlink’s PowerVCR II and powerVCR II Deluxe, version 3.0. If you have a TV tuner card installed in your system, these programs make it possible for you to digitally record TV programs. They also let you record from other DV or analog sources. Agent.exe is also the Res Wisdom Agent Service by Real Enterprise Solutions Development B.V. This instance of the file will appear in your c:\Program Files\Res wisdom\agent\ folder. Wisdom is a change and configuration maintenance solution for Windows. It was designed to enable administrators to deploy, automate and simply tasks relating to the Windows desktop from a central console. More information can be found at http://www.res.nl/. Agent.exe also installs with Forte Agent, an integrated email and newsgroup reader by Forte Internet Software. This program lets you read email as well as text-based and binary newsgroups.
