Multiple Programs – ACS.EXE
We found multiple programs using a file called acs.exe.
Most commonly, a file called acs.exe starts the Atheros Configuration Service necessary to support Wireless LAN products by Atheros Communications. This software ships with many popular wireless lans including LinkSys and D-Link. By default, this file will run on system startup. Less commonly, asc.exe installs with a screensaver that displays an analog clock by Segobit. More info can be found at http://www.segobit.com/scr.htm.
Asc.exe also installs with the YPSolutions Toolbar, a mini-portal that provides a quick search to directory content by classification, name, number and address. More info can be found at http://www.ypsolutions.com.
Acs.exe installs with Asilla Capture screen. This small program can be used to capture the screen, part of the screen or any window on the screen. You can save the picture to a bitmap file or you can print the picture. More info can be found at http://www.asilla.dk/cs/capturescreen.htm.
Because acs.exe is a short and common name, there may be other programs using it.
