Business Connectivity Services Sync – BCSSYNC.EXE

Bcssync.exe may be found in your C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\ folder. It will be found in your WinPatrol Startup Programs but may be run with the following switch: /DelayServices. It could be moved to your Delayed Startup tab. BCSsync.exe is the Business Connectivity Services Client Cache sync tool. Business Connectivity Services (BCS) uses a cache to store a copy of the external data required by the BCS solutions deployed on the Office client. The cache enables external data to be automatically copied on the client and managed for real-time access, with automatic data synchronization between the cache and the external application.
