Desktop Window Manager – DWM.EXE

Dwm.exe is the Windows Vista Desktop Window Manager. This file is responsible for the graphical effects such as live window previews and a glass-like frame around windows (Aero Glass). Dwm.exe drained system resources in early beta versions of Vista. Upgrading to the release version may help with this.
