Multiple Programs – FLASH.OCX, FLASH.EXE
Flash.ocx is the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX Control. Flash was originally created by Macromedia but was purchased by Adobe. You need to have the Flash player installed in order to see Flash based content in web pages. So if this file isn't causing problems, we've recommend leaving it in place. If you do opt to remove it, follow the instructions found at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_12727.
Flash.exe installs iwth the Microsoft HTML Help Workshop. More information can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=00535334-c8a6-452f-9aa0-d597d16580cc&displaylang;=en#QuickInfoContainer.
Flash.exe also installs with Adware.BookedSpace. BookedSpace can generate popup ads and may send tracking information about web pages you visit to its controlling server. It can also download third party programs. We'd recommend removing this file using WinPatrol. First, kill it under Active Tasks. If files starting with bs or bx and ending in dll such as bxs5.dll or bxxs5.dll appear there, kill those as well. Next, remove these files from your IE Helpers. If running WinPatrol 8.x or later, right click each file then select "Delete file on reboot". Safe if not Adware
