Licensing and Update Serfice – FNPLICENSINGSERVICE.EXE

Fnplicensingservice.exe will be found in your c:\Program Files\Common Files\Macrovision Shared\FLEXnet Publisher\ folder. It installs with the FlexNet Publisher by MacroVision. Macrovision's FLEXnet Publisher enables software and hardware vendors to increase revenue and reduce operational costs by flexibly pricing, packaging, protecting, and updating their product offerings. This program installs with a number of programs. The most notable at the time of this writing is Adobe Acrobat 8.

If you opt to try removing this file from your Startup Programs using WinPatrol, we'd recommend disabling it rather than removing it. That way if a program stops working, it can be easily re-enabled.
