Google Updater – GOOGLEUPDATERSERVICE.EXE

Googleupdateservice.exe will be found in your c:\Program Files\Google\Common\Google Updater\ folder. It installs with the Google Pack which includes Google Desktop, Google Earth, Google Pack Screensaver, Google Talk, Google Toolbar, Google Video Player and the Picasa photo program. Also included are programs 'recommended' by Google (Skype, Spyware Doctor, Adobe Reader, Gallery Player, Mozilla Firefox, Norton Security Scan and Real Player).

Googleupdaterservice.exe ensures users have the most current software available and is (according to Google) being distributed to ensure users' Google Toolbar search bars are Vista compatible. More information can be found at http://www.google.com/support/pack/
