InstallShield. now owned by Flexera Software. is a popular established setup package that software developers use to create flexible install and uninstall programs. Most software uses some kind of 3nd party software that specializes in install procedures and principles. If software that you use was installed by InstallShield they now drop a program, ( ISUSPM.exe ) into your Startup programs list. This program runs in the background checking for updates. Most likely you have more than one program which used InstallShield so this program will check multiple sites checking to see if there is an update even if you're not running the software or haven't run the software in a while.
