Ieawsdc.dll is the Microsoft Office Template and Media Control component. It installs with Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007. It also installs with the 2003 and 2007 Outlook Live, OneNote, Project and Visio.

The Clip Art and Media, Templates, and Training Web sites on Microsoft Office Online use the Microsoft Office Template and Media Control, which is an ActiveX® control that downloads and opens selected media clips, templates, and training practice files automatically, in the correct file format and location. If you disable or remove this ActiveX control, you will not be able to automatically download clip art and media or templates on Office Online, and you will not be able to do practice sessions in the online training courses on Office Online.
