Multiple Programs – INITIALIZE.EXE

In computing, the term 'initialize' is often used to describe setting up or starting a program or process. So it may be used by a number of programs.

Most commonly, initialize.exe installs with Glary Utilities by Glarysoft. Glary Utilities promise to optimize and clean your computer, to fix common errrors, to speed up your system, and to block spyware, adware, and trojans. You'll find more information at http://www.glaryutilities.com/gu.html.

Initialize.exe, editor.exe, client.exe, stealthclient.exe and stealthred.exe install with a remote access tool called Stealth Redirector and Stealth Redirector 2, also known as TrojanProxy.Win32.Delf.c or Troj_Proxy.AS. This program can give a remote user complete control over your computer. You'll find more information at http://research.sunbelt-software.com/threatdisplay.aspx?name=Stealth%20Redirector&threatid;=11685 and at http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=TROJ_PROXY.AS. We'd recommend removing these files using WinPatrol. First, kill them under Active Tasks. Then remove them from your Startup Programs and/or IE Helpers. To do so, right click each file then select "Delete file on Reboot". Finally, reboot your system then check to make sure the files are really gone.

Initialize.exe installs with Adware.Win32.Bingo Palace. This online bingo game tracks your web browsing activities, collects data about your system, and generates popup ads. You'll find more information at http://www.emsisoft.de/de/malware/?Adware.Win32.Bingo+Palace. Unless you're really hooked on this game, we'd recommend removing this file using WinPatrol.
