Virus Alert – MCAFEE.EXE

Mcafee.exe will be found in your Windows\System or System32 folder. You may see it described as "mcafee software internet". This file is trying to trick you into believing that it's the McAfee Antivirus program. This is not the case. The file installs as part of the W32/Rbot.ATR worm. This worm exploits Microsoft Vulnerabilities, sets itself to run on system startup, and could allow a remote user to access your system. We'd recommend removing these files using WinPatrol. First, kill them under Active Tasks then remove them from your Startup Programs. If running WinPatrol 8.x or later; right click each file then select "Delete file on reboot". Finally, reboot your system.
