This file can be found by many names and by many different company's who are paid a royalty to install it. It is likely a component of a toolbar and/or search redirection by Mindspark, "A Digital Snacks Company." While the company claims removing this program is an easy task using Window Control Panel Applet many users have advised us they haven't been able to remove it.

Mindspark is a division of IAC as is Ask.com. The technology used is also known as MyWebSearch which has a history of being classified by many as adware. You may notice your default search page has changed or the results of your search include results in addition to what Google provides. Mindspark is behind a number of IAC brands including Smiley Central, Zwinky, MyWebPage, iWon, RetroGame, Coupon Alert and others part of the Ask Partner Network.
