Multiple Programs – MOM.EXE

We found multiple programs using a file called mom.exe.
Mom.exe will be found in your c:\Program\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\ folder. This file installs with ATI Technologies video cards and is part of the Ati ACE and Rage3D Catalyst control center. You can get the latest drivers for your ATI card video at http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html.

Mom.exe also installs with Spyware.MoM by SofoText Systems. Other files that may appear on your system include mompeeks.exe, mompass.exe, netwatch.exe, moms.log, culaterloader.exe, and numerous files named mo????.dlx where ?s are numbers. These will be found in your c:\Program Files\Mom\ folder. Files called mci1ldll.exe and sysnta.exe may appear in your c:\Windows folder. This program tracks your internet activity and grabs screenshots when certain keywords are detected in the hope of stealing personal information. If you have Spyware.MoM, we'd recommend removing these files using WinPatrol. First, kill them under Active Tasks then remove them from your Startup Programs and Hidden Files (WinPatrol 10.x or later). If running WinPatrol 8.x or later; right click each file then select "Delete file on reboot". Finally, reboot your system.
