Microsoft HTML Parser – MSHTML.DLL

Mshtml.dll is a library file that contains program code used for displaying HTML (web) pages. This file installs with your Windows operating system and with all versions of your Microsoft Internet Explorer browser. If you run WinPatrol 2008, you may see this file in your ActiveX tab. It is required for Internet Explorer to work properly and should not be disabled or removed.

If you run Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x under Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, you'll want to grab the Internet Explorer ActiveX compatibility patch for Mshtml.dll at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917425.
