Microsoft Outlook - OUTLOOK
OUTLOOK.EXE is the executable for Microsoft Outlook. This file installs with Office 97, 98, and 2000-2002. It is also included with Office 2003 which is currently in beta at the time of this writing.. A version is also available for WinCE.
Outlook can be used to read/send mail or newsgroup posts. It includes time and contact management as well as a calendar and reminder system. If you use the reminder function, this file should be running all the time.
If you don't, you can start Outlook manually using the desktop icon or going to Start > Programs. Trying to uninstall Outlook can be problematic on some systems. So if you want it out of your way, just remove outlook.exe from your startup list. It is important to note that Outlook and Outlook Express are two completely different programs.
