We found multiple programs by this name.
Most commonly, SCHEDULER.EXE may be the Microsoft Task Scheduler. More info can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/prodtechnol/windowsserver2003/proddocs/standard/tasksched_topnode.asp. We'd recommend against removing this program.
This file may be PowerReg Scheduler, a program installed along with PowerQuest’s Partition Magic. It is based upon Leader Technologies’ Register.exe and PowerRegister products. Leader Tech advertises these features:
"Generating reports of your user's data, Create customer profiles, Create A Valuable Database of Customer Buying Habits, Two-way data transmission and communication is supported."
This program is spyware. We recommend removing it.
We found many lesser-known progarms that use SCHEDULE.EXE. These programs can be broken down into two groups:
1. appointment schedulers or day-planner programs
2. utilities to schedule tasks to be done on your system on a particular date and time.
