Spirune.dll (which may show up as Rundll32 SPIRun.dll,RunDLLEntry) will be found in your Windows\System or System32 folder. You may see it described as "p17helper". This file installs with the drivers for your SoundBlaster Audigy or Audigy 2 sound card. This file is needed to the support Audio Stream in/out (ASIO) capabilities of your sound card. This provides a more direct path between the sound card and CPU and can help to avoid latency problems. If you're not into games and/or multimedia, you can probably get by without this file. To remove unnecessary features, your best bet in this case is to go into your sound card configuration utility.
