Multiple Programs – STARTUP.EXE
A file called startup.exe is hard to nail down because it is in use by so many different programs. Many programs use a file by this name to launch the program or the program's installer. We'll tell you about some of the more popular instances of this program in a moment. But let us tell you how to figure out what you have installed. In WinPatrol, go to your Active Tasks tab. Locate startup.exe then left click to highlight. Then click the INFO button. The company or copyright info may tell you which program installed the file.
