Registration Database Update Utility - UPDREG.EXE

Most commonly, updreg.exe is used to remind users to register programs. This file installs with the 'liveware' software for Creative Labs SoundBlaster Live! and Audigy cards as well as Creative's "Wave Studio". More information can be found at http://www.creative.com. The easiest way to get rid of this reminder is to register your product. If you've done so and it still appears, use WinPatrol to kill it from your Active task list or to remove it from your Startup Programs list.

Less commonly, updreg.exe automates the process of updating user's Windows registration databases on networked installations of Windows.
