Microsoft Word – WINWORD.EXE

Winword.exe is the executable for Microsoft Word, a word processing program that has been sold as a standalone program, as a part of Microsoft Office, and as part of Microsoft Works Suite. This file will appear when word is running. If you have Word configured to run on startup, it will appear as a startup task. If you don't want Word to start when Windows starts, you can remove winword.exe from your startup programs.
